Sweden is taking over the EU Council Presidency after France and the Czech Republic, a Presidency trio that has been marked by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the intensification of a war in the EU borders that has been going on since 2014. Within this context, Sweden will have to continue managing the EU response to the conflict in Ukraine while trying to push forward its policy priorities, which include security, competitiveness, green and energy transition, democratic values and the rule of law.
Between January and June 2023, the EPC will team up with the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS) and organize debates on different EU policy topics with the aim of connecting Brussels and Stockholm.
