This online Policy Dialogue will take stock of recent developments in the Middle East region with emphasis on the war between Israel and Hezbollah, the war in Gaza, and the recent Iranian missile attack on Israel.
 
The discussion will include the international community’s efforts to push for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah and recent attempts to reach an agreement in Gaza. The role and actions of the US, the EU and other external actors in the region will be analysed. 
 
Specific focus will also be placed on the risks of a regional war in the Middle East, potential paths for de-escalation and how to design an EU strategy towards the region.
 
Participation is open to EPC members only, the media, and EU officials
