Tommaso Grossi is a Policy Analyst in the Social Europe and Well-Being Programme at the European Policy Centre. His research interests include social and employment policies, with a particular focus on the green transition and the digital economy; the future of welfare states; labour markets and industrial policy; fiscal and economic rules.

He worked as Policy Advisor for the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), where he provided expert advice to the rapporteurs and the study groups responsible for an opinion requested by the Belgian Presidency on social investment and fiscal policy.

Before joining the EPC, he worked at Fondazione Brodolini (FGB) researching the impact of digital economy on European labour markets and industrial relations. At FGB he contributed to evaluations and impact assessments on topics such as social protection, labour rights, and inequality. He is currently a FEPS Young Academic Fellow, where he is preparing a study on industrial policy and labour market reforms. His articles on these topics and on Italian politics have been featured in several international newspapers and media outlets.

He holds degrees from the London School of Economics, from SOAS University of London, and from the University of Rome
